Bringing the Marvel universe to life? Challenge accepted.

For Marvel Rivals: No One Rivals Doom, we explored a bold visual direction, different from our usual style and the results speak volumes.

The mission: break the mold. We left behind the familiar Japanese‑anime look and leaned into a bold, comic-book-inspired aesthetic fully integrated, no post-render compositing.

Here’s how we made it happen:

– Custom shaders in Arnold: A fully stylized look was achieved using tailor-made shaders, developed rapidly to fit the project’s unique artistic direction bringing depth, texture, and energy to every frame.

– No illusion involved: Stylization wasn’t an afterthought. It flowed through everything reflections, FX, materials, without any post-compositing tricks.

– Seamless pipeline: Assets in 3ds Max, animation in Maya, FX in Houdini. Everything tied together through a consistent Arnold shading workflow.

From Doom’s cloak to Rocket’s fur, every detail was dialed in for visual punch and storytelling power.

This wasn’t just production. It was a creative sprint fueled by curiosity, problem-solving, and a ton of passion.
